*FINAL DLC UPDATE EDIT*
This is an output of ideas that others and myself have come up with for possible series for Forza 6 and Forza Horizon 2. Any and all thoughts/ideas/suggestions from everyone else are welcome.
Each series has a target PI, a list of potential cars, and a list of potential tracks. Each car is listed with its stock PI at the end. DLC cars are marked with an asterisk (*). Track choices for the real life-based series that are in parentheses are (to my knowledge) not part of the series they are based on, but I think could fit in the overall theme.
Some series are proposed to also be run in Forza Horizon 2, were options such as offroading/rallying exist. Cars available in FH2 will be noted as such, as will PIs and proposed PI targets for FH2. Considering the dynamics of FH2, the event courses will be chosen later if the series is chosen, and possible event types will be listed instead.

So, that’s pretty much it for now. Thoughts? Got ideas of your own? Post ‘em here. I’ll be updating this thread if I see any concrete ideas posted, or think of new ones.
(Personally, I like the Can-Am, 1960s F1, Formula E, and V8 Supercar ideas. I’m also rather keen on the 60s-70s NASCAR proposal.)

This also makes me realize how much I’m going to miss Suzuka and Twin Ring Motegi if they don’t get added in.

Oh man... I wans’ t going to get Forza 6, especially after I finally picked up Forza 5’s season pass for $20 on deals with gold a few weeks ago. But now... I get the Eagle T1G AND I could participate in a group that actually races these gorgeous machines? Oh man...
![]() 08/19/2015 at 17:42 |
|
Touring cars & group B for me :D also would be nice to have a series that I could race a BRZ in, perhaps a ‘modern classics’ race series

Provided everyone else is good for it. Apparently the Brabham and Lotus are around S class in Forza 5, and that’s pushing it with some of the usual group.
But ‘dem low big-wheeled little pod bodies...
![]() 08/19/2015 at 17:47 |
|
Yep. I’m pretty sure the Lotus and Brabham are low S class in 5. I don’t remember for sure, but I know I upgraded my Lotus to the max S class so I could use it in the career S class races. I don’t think I was able to use it in A so it had to have been low S.
The cars are a handful regardless, but without upgrades and using the stock street tires, they’re manageable for me (with some assists). Upgraded to max S class and with slicks, the Lotus 49 is a squirrely bastard that is part fun, part hell.
Either way, there’s something magical about big engines in lightweight, low-to-the-ground pods with no aero.
Also, these cars are a bit easier to drive in Fiveza than they are in Grand Prix Legends, so at least there’s that.
![]() 08/19/2015 at 17:48 |

The modern classics could be;
Subaru BRZ, ND Miata, FiST, Type R etc
![]() 08/19/2015 at 17:48 |

I’d throw the newly announced Nissan R382 into the Can-Am class. It didn’t technically race in Can-Am but it’s still a Group 7 car.

I’m still hosting the Petit Le Mans (just haven’t had much to add lately. I’ll start weekly sign-up posts at the beginning of next month) so we could also have an ALMS series done using the same cars. That or TUDOR, if anyone wants to use one of those ugly Corvettes or something, I guess.
Would also be cool to do our own version of LeMons/ChumpCar. The cars must be purchased for the least amount of money (no Auction House. Say the cheapest cars are 3,000cr, then those cars are the only ones eligible) and tuned to match the PI of whichever one of those is highest, +50 or so, to allow for race suspension, race brakes, and a cage.
We’ll have a lot of modern economy hatchbacks available, probably, but it’s more about shitty performance than just old cars.

Provided the Mosler and Oreca FLM09 are in the game we could have a multi-class TUSCC series with P2 and GT cars. If Forza 4 is anything to go by those two are roughly equal in R2 spec if you give the Oreca drag tires.

Is Kaido coming back?
![]() 08/19/2015 at 17:54 |

Not that I know of so far. :/ If it did, though, it’d definitely be in the Group B series.
![]() 08/19/2015 at 17:55 |

This is a good point. It does look like it would fit in, and even if it didn’t race, it’s at the same class.
![]() 08/19/2015 at 17:59 |

I also hope they add the Ferrari 312 to Forza 6. There’s an opposing McLaren in it now - they kinda HAVE to.
![]() 08/19/2015 at 17:59 |

We need a Vintage Enduro series. Like The Can-AM cars Le Mans, Sebring, Spa, etc. All about 2.5hrs or 1.2 for Sebring.
![]() 08/19/2015 at 18:05 |

If Fujimi Kaido does come back, then we need to add a Initial-Oppo downhill series.
Also, I’ve heard rumors that they’ll be putting NASCAR Cup cars in the game. Anyone else heard of or able to verify this?

Yup, built to virtually identical specs, just raced on the other side of the world.

Running the Mosler as a Prototype? That could be interesting.
![]() 08/20/2015 at 19:09 |
|
Yeah with both cars built to R2 spec the Mosler tops out a bit higher than the Oreca but has less cornering ability, just like irl P2 and DP cars. They’re both of them are in the club garage if you feel like testing them out, I was wanting to use them both in the upcoming Petit Le Mans in September.
![]() 08/20/2015 at 19:15 |

Hopefully it’s still the case with a new physics engine and a PI structure reorganization.
You know what would be REALLY awesome? If they added the Corvette Daytona Prototype. I would rock that so hard.

I added it to the post (best I could, anyways), along with links to the current list of cars in F5 and FH2. Let me know if you think of anything else.

T10 really needs to partner with TUSCC like they did with the ALMS for Forza 4 for that reason even if it is DLC. On a related note, are you or the rest of the Day 1 Forza 6 owners planning on starting a series as soon as it comes out?
![]() 08/21/2015 at 19:53 |
|
No, I don’t even think I’ll have it on day one (depends on how soon Amazon can ship over the Xbone). But on top of that, I don’t plan on doing anything competitive until my wheel arrives, and that’s whenever Fanatec gets off their collective kiesters and ships out the next batch.
I’ll still be playing though, I’ll be spending a little time on 5 and H2 first so I can unlock free whatsists in 6.
BTW on an unrelated note, I noticed you have Halo 4 (at least according to XBL). By some stroke of star-alignment and witchcraft, my xbox recognizes my disc again, and I installed that sucker onto my hard drive and I’m trying to blaze though the Spartan Ops content. Wouldn’t mind some company if you’re up for it.
![]() 08/21/2015 at 20:06 |
|
I figured we’d wait until Christmas or whatever but just wanted to make sure. IIRC DLC started coming out for 4 like 2 months after release so we could have even more cars to choose from if we wait until then.
And if you give me time to find Halo 4 I can get on, I haven’t played it forever so it’s probably buried under a bunch of other games in my entertainment console...

I love the idea of a multiclass Tudor style setup with the prototypes and GT cars. If they don’t add the Oreca to 6, it could always be done with the cars that compete in the prototype stuff.
![]() 08/23/2015 at 14:22 |
|
Definitely, I just thought it would be cool to have a Daytona Prototype stand-in as well as normal P2 cars and the Oreca was the only one you could slow down enough to match the Mosler’s pace. Plus the Oreca is ideal for BoP adjustments since it has more engine modifications than the other prototypes.
![]() 08/23/2015 at 16:52 |

We always do super-serious racing series. How about as an off-week alternate to one of the serious series we do something like banger racing? PI cap of Class D, car must be over 20 years old, cheesy handmade liveries encouraged, contact allowed and encouraged.

Apparently the Brabham and Lotus are around S class in Forza 5, and that’s pushing it with some of the usual group.

I haven’t heard anything about it, but it’s certainly not out of the realm of possibility. I’m a little surprised they took them out in the transition from 4 to 5.
Doing a series with those would be mostly done on circuit tracks, though. There’s only two ovals confirmed for 6 so far. At least there’s a lot more of the circuit tracks they’ve run on in the game now.
![]() 08/24/2015 at 01:22 |

Well, I just did a little searching around, and if it is coming back for 6, it’s gonna be DLC, because all the release day tracks have been confirmed.
![]() 08/24/2015 at 22:39 |

Hopefully there are some Group C cars in Forza 6 because I really want to do a series of those cars. I was actually testing the ones in Forza 4 and everyone except the 962 were within half a second of each other. I think that would be a good sendoff for Fourza too, what with racing the fastest cars in the game.
![]() 08/24/2015 at 23:32 |
|
There are some Group C cars already confirmed, but they’re basically the same ones currently in Fourza.
Mazda #18 Mazdaspeed 787B
Mazda #55 Mazdaspeed 787B
Peugeot #3 Peugeot Talbot Sport 905 EVO 1C
Hopefully they’ll add more later.

I am so close to convincing the girlfriend to go in with me and get a Forza 6 limited edition Ford GT version. She uses my 360 more than I do to watch Netflix and Hulu, so we’re in this together, besides, my 360 is on its last leg.
On another note, I would like to start another expert level, no assists, no BoP series like the Super Hatches series I have going on now. Probably with the open wheel track toys.
![]() 08/25/2015 at 23:03 |

Group B, because AWD drifts and Forza 6 will probably simulate the turbo lag properly! BOOST!

Is the Ferrari 312 in the game yet? It would fit in the Can-Am series. And I need an Italian car to race.
![]() 08/26/2015 at 14:43 |

Not confirmed yet, but it would not fit in Cam-Am because those cars are Group 7 and the 312 PB is Group 6.
Anyways, you’d still be able to pick from the Alfa Romeo 33 or the Ferrari 330 P4 if you want an Italian fix for Can-Am.

I haven’t finished tuning it yet (been sick and haven’t felt much like doing anything), but it’s probably gonna be nearing or at A class when I’m done with it. Corey noticed this too, but thinks the time should be kept as is.

Also could do earlier stocks cars with the Charger Daytona, 69 Charger (replace 500), 67 Chevelle, 70 Chevelle, 73 Falcon, 71 GTX,
could even do earlier stock cars with the 57 Chevy, 49 Mercury, 40 Ford
plus there is also vintage trans am.
![]() 08/29/2015 at 12:30 |
|
Was gonna add that to the list with the 80s stuff per Eric’s post, but I was having a rather difficult time tracking down what cars were in it. Also, I know the AMC Matador was in NASCAR, you think the Javelin or the Rebel Machine could be a sub for that?
Also, what do you mean by vintage Trans-Am? Like, the 60s-70s stuff that we just did? Because we kinda just did that. :/
![]() 08/29/2015 at 12:35 |
|
yeah I think the javelin could sub. there seems to be more variety in cars for the earlier nascar, with the 80’s the field would be easier to maintain balance with only 3 cars though I think in the older series the only car that would have to be handicapped is the Daytona at well Daytona
![]() 08/30/2015 at 10:57 |
|
That is a very good point. My only concern would be that the GT cars in stock form that will be run in 6 might be almost on pace with the Oreca because they are almost are in the actual series and if the Oreca were to be slowed down the GT cars might be the overall podium contenders.
![]() 08/30/2015 at 22:02 |
|
Turns out neither the Oreca nor the Mosler are in FM6’s launch lineup so this could all be a moot point but in testing both ended up like 5 seconds faster per lap than the GT cars at R1(880 iirc) and R3(800) spec so it might work? That was before BoP adjustments so I dunno what the real speed disparity will be like. If it’s too small or the cars don’t show up in a future DLC we can just do LMP1’s and GT’s which worked extremely well in our Le Mans race.
![]() 09/01/2015 at 23:26 |
|
I would imagine that doing a full series with the LMP1’s and the GT’s would still be great. I love the multiclass stuff because I think it adds a challenge. Especially for a leader if they are dominate from pole and then run into traffic that could really trip them up. And it adds overtaking opportunities which are just fun.
![]() 09/02/2015 at 00:38 |
|
Our multi-class Le Mans race was fun for that reason, it definitely made you think about how you approached passing, whether it be GT traffic or the guy behind you. It was actually kind of stressful but in a good way because it was challenging. At smaller tracks it’ll be insanity with 24 people... God I can’t wait to do this...
![]() 09/03/2015 at 10:42 |
|
I can’t either. I am super excited for it. Road Atlanta would be a fun but tough one. Lime Rock would be interesting but probably turn into a nightmare. Sonoma might not be wide enough to pull it off.
![]() 09/15/2015 at 15:55 |

I wouldn’t mind a series with a lower PI like a modern classics but at like B or C class
![]() 09/15/2015 at 15:56 |

Eh...maybe I will consider it. We’ll see.
![]() 09/15/2015 at 15:59 |

Yeah, that sounds like something that Tareim’s Modern Classics series idea could fill. Not a lot of cars on the roster so far, though, but I’m certain he’s open for ideas.

![]() 09/16/2015 at 11:13 |

A mulitclass series with P1’s and GT’s would be fantastic. It could run on all of the tracks with big endurance events. There are plenty of cars in both classes for good variety.
I also really like the can am and V8 supercars. And formula E.
![]() 09/16/2015 at 16:55 |

Except that I totally misread the car list and the 312 PB is currently not in the game.
This is...disappointing.

Rainbow is running a
multiclass Petit Le Mans race
next month, but I don’t see why it can’t be a series. Hard part would be getting enough interest in it because higher-level cars.
![]() 09/16/2015 at 21:03 |
|
What about when they add it? Will it be legal?
![]() 09/16/2015 at 21:33 |
|
Yeah.
The more I look at it, the more “what class ran” keeps getting blurred. It’s pretty damn close enough. Besides, it may be the only possible option for a Ferrari for Can-Am on F6. The 330 starts out at a much lower PI than the other Can-Am cars (A vs R), and I’m not sure how it’ll behave once it gets upgraded to the same level, if it even can be.
![]() 09/16/2015 at 21:56 |

Aw yiss. F1 car with fenders.
![]() 09/17/2015 at 12:21 |

Yeah, I know about the Petite Le Mans race but unfortunately I wont be able to do it because I’m going home for the weekend, but if we could do series that was maybe only once a month with hour and a half races or something that might be infrequent enough that people could do it.

Spec Miata? Any Miata (NA/NB MazdaSpeed/non-Cup NC/ND) on any closed road course. PI D400-C450?
![]() 11/03/2015 at 17:20 |
|
This might be better for a one-off, but what about a “track day” for fun? Drive your actual car (or the closest thing to it) and either allow minimal upgrades (to help balance) or unlimited upgrades (for the fun factor). Obviously it wouldn’t be too much fun for series racing, but it might be fun to do a race with more pedestrian cars.
Also, I would be very much interested in a kei car (or just slow cars in general) race. Find a small, technical track and see who can drive a slow car fastest.
e: and I also just realized how old this post (and most of its comments) are! My suggestions stand!
![]() 11/03/2015 at 17:33 |

how about concept car class like the Nissian IDX?
![]() 11/03/2015 at 20:40 |
|
There’s been repeated talk about doing a
daily driver
or a
LeMons/ChumpCar
series. The main problem is working out a PI bracket since it would be so open to car choices. I do think that a one-off race for it sounds like a good idea. (And I definitely wouldn’t mind doing a one-off daily driver. It’s been a long time since something like that was done back in Fourza.)
![]() 11/03/2015 at 20:44 |
|
That sounds like an interesting idea. It’d be a strange mishmash of cars, but it sounds like it could be some zany fun. I’ve never taken note about what concept cars are in the game.
Regarding the IDX, I’ve wanted to see that used in a rally/WRC setting a la the Datsun 510 of old.
![]() 11/03/2015 at 20:46 |
|
Yea it kicks ass. I used it for Class C races.
![]() 11/03/2015 at 20:51 |

Goodness knows I should have probably added that to the list a long time ago. I probably wouldn’t join in it, though. The Miata is a fun car to drive, but after doing a Miata series for over an hour in the NA back in Fourza, I have determined that I do not like that engine note. :/
![]() 11/03/2015 at 21:27 |
|
Well I guess it’s kinda a twist on Spec Miata/Club Miata, but I don’t even have Forza 6 or an XBOne so I’m just dreaming anyway.
Another idea is the Grocery Getter Grand Prix. You’d have the X5M, the G65, the Jeep SRT, the Rangie, and maybe even the Juke Nismo with a mandated AWD swap (no Escalade because it’s not competitive enough and no Urus because it’s too high). It would top out at B550, and racing would be on road courses-primarily street courses-to simulate racing to the grocery store. This series would be heavily dependent on one’s tuning ability, especially suspension tuning, and that would make it pretty interesting (as if 2.5 ton SUVs with 500-600 hp blasting around a racetrack isn’t interesting enough).
Also, maybe a spec Tesla Model S series? That might be cool.

Hmm... Fastest Oppo in A Reasonably-Priced—And Unreasonably-Priced—Street Car.

Group 5!
![]() 11/07/2015 at 23:47 |

Another thing we could do, but would probably be difficult to organize, is come up with an actual schedule of endurance races. Rather than just kind of planning them out one by one, line them all up, maybe one per month, and whoever shows shows. We could have a set car list (Prototype and GT) or switch it up for every race.
![]() 11/08/2015 at 02:36 |
|
Could be doable. Actually, I like this thing that’s been going on of coinciding the endurance races with IRL endurance events. Maybe we could do an overarching season of that.
